Since the last post we have been BUSY! In October we hosted R.A. Nelson's author visit. He shared details about his writing career, gave us a sneak peek into his upcoming novel, and autographed our copies of his newest book, Days of Little Texas, for us. We also participated in Read for the Record in October. Many members visited Coosada Elementary and read The Very Hungry Catepillar to the students their.
With the premiere of New Moon in November we were approached by the Millbrook Independent to write the movie review for the newspaper. One of our book club members, Antoine wrote the review and did a GREAT job.
In December, we adopted a needy family for Christmas. We collected money, and bought and wrapped the presents, then delivered them to the family.... We hope we helped make one family's Christmas a little brighter.
We have many more activities planned for this semester and will keep you posted about our exciting events!
