Welcome to our blog! The SEHS Book Club was established in 2007. Students who are members participate in reading and discussing novels. We meet authors through visits and phone and video conferences Some selections that we read are chosen by the sponsor others by the members. Sometimes we read the same novel and other times we choose a personal favorite and share with the group. The club simply serves as a way for avid readers, who may not otherwise meet, get to know other students at school who share a common interest.
I love the world of education. I enjoy books and children and LOVE my job! One of my favorite books of all time...before it was a movie...is Tuck Everlasting. I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, scrapbooking, vacationing at the beach or the mountains, and being involved at my church.
On October 7th, members of the SEHS Book Club headed to Coosada Elementary School for Read for the Record. They read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats to the second grade pods. I think our kids enjoyed it as much as the little ones.
